Skater
hockey is similar to ice hockey - but it is played in a sports hall with
a ball instead of a puck and is therefore often a lot quicker. It may
not be a mainstream sport but it is an exciting game to watch. It has
really taken off as the technology of inline roller skates has advanced
and it is one of the fastest growing sports in the country.
We are based at The Croft sports centre and have around 80 playing members (male and female). We run six teams across: 8–11 years; 12–15 years; 15–18 years and senior age groups. Beginners sessions are at 12 Noon on Saturdays. The club has a high profile in the South region and is
one of the top 8 clubs in the country. We also compete in international
tournaments and have had a number of players in the Great Britain squad.
