Bisha Correspondence

Registered club members should receive a letter this week from the British Inline Skater Hockey Association (BiSHA) giving notice of an Annual General Meeting. The same correspondence includes the notice of a separate Extra Ordinary General Meeting, where it is proposed that the present company is wound up, and that a new company is created called Bishahockey Ltd, to run our sport in the future.

The reasons for such a decision are complex, however, for those that have been involved in the sport for a number of years will be aware of the significant reorganisation that took place within BiSHA last year. I am informed that the proposals outlined above will allow the new management committee to move forward and concentrate on the future development of our Sport. Your Committee is liaising with BiSHA concerning the proposals.

Every member is entitled to attend the AGM. Can I ask that if you are going to attend the meeting, that you inform one of our Committee Members, so that we can coordinate transport arrangements, and also allow us to give the organisers an indication of numbers. Alternatively, if you are unable to attend, and wish to raise a question, again please speak to one of the Committee Members.

Yours in sport

Nigel Davies
