BiSHA Announceement

The BISHA Board regret to announce that due to personal family circumstances, it has become necessary for the BISHA Treasurer, Tony Downes, to resign, and for Sheila Downes to step down as BISHA President.

BISHA wishes to thank Tony, on behalf of the members, for his many years of duty as Treasurer and wish him the very best for the future. Sheila will be taking a sabbatical until further notice, but has not ruled out a return to the Board at some time in the future.

As Vice President, Liz Jeffries will assume the role of President and has appointed Jan Dickinson Vice President in her place. This situation is in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of Association, and is an interim measure until either the next AGM, or if necessary, an EGM.

The National Championships this year will be held at Rotherham and Bisley, dates and age groups will be announced as soon as contracts have been agreed with the venues.

It is unfortunate that we are unable to use Torbay, but the Board feel that we do not have the current manpower or volunteers to assist with erecting the rink. Therefore, we have taken the opportunity to book alternative venues to ensure the safety of the Nationals.
