Swindon Flames Awards Evening 2007 Swindon Skater Hockey Club held their annual awards evening on Friday 7th December at the Area 51 Club, Stratton. The event, which draws the curtain on The Swindon Flames’ 2007 season, is an annual celebration of the club’s successes during the year and an opportunity to present the team’s players with awards for their efforts throughout the season. Club chairman, Les Satchell, said, “ 2007 has been a magnificent year for The Swindon Flames with all our teams performing with distinction at both regional and national level in every age group, with our Junior team securing a national top three ranking. We have continue to develop into one of the top skater hockey clubs in the country and our continuing success is a credit to the hard work of all those involved in Swindon Skater Hockey Club, from the coaches and managers to the players and their parents. With the our newly formed Senior squad and the addition of another Peewee team the club continues to go from strength to strength and it is a measure of the success of the ongoing development programme being run throughout the club that we face the forthcoming season with confidence.”
